I came across the question “what kind of vegetable” in Peter Temple´s wonderful “The Broken Shore”.
He has inspired me to write my own answer, but I will give you time to think about it – and perhaps share your answer.
Come back Monday for the answer to one of life´s great mysteries.
>Interesting thought… but I hope you are not a carrot? Living mostly underground – not a nice life!I would like to be a granate I think!
>I can´t see an underground carrot life should be any worse than 22 years in “Blåtårn”
>I think I’d like to be an avocado. What is a granate (pomegranate?)
>Too funny. I need time to think.
>hmmmm maybe you are grapes.. sweet and pretty
You have an award waiting for you here

>Kerrie, I think so. The funny thing is that in Danish the word “granat” not only means pomegranate, but also grenade (shell). Beth, I will let you do so. DesertRose: thank you so much – for your compliment as well as your reward
>I think I would be a parsimonious parsnip.
>Peas (veg) or blueberries (fruit).
>Norman and Maxine, you really create some vivid images in my mind with your parsnip and peas in a pod.
