Love these shots. Mr. BFR loves old tools, I’ll have to show him these.

  2. Dorte H says:

Thank you, Beth. This museum was a great experience so I enjoy revisiting it every week.

  3. Margot Kinberg says:

Dorte – I just love that workshop! You can just see the care attention to the craftsmanship coming through. I think you captured the atmosphere quite well!

  4. Kelly says:

This is interesting – I like all the cobbler’s gear in the lower photo. That’s becoming a lost art.

  5. Bill Selnes says:

Dorte: I am feeling old when a chain saw is an old tool.

  6. Barbara says:

I must show these to my husband. My father-in-law was the first McCulloch chain saw dealer in Maine. Dave and his dad used to go up into the deep woods of Maine and New Hampshire when Dave was a boy and they would find woodchoppers to sell saws to. As you can imagine, the woodchoppers were a bunch of very funny characters with lots of stories to tell.

  7. Dorte H says:

They are charming, these tools, aren´t they?

Bill: I am sure it is a first-generation chain saw 😉
Barbara: yes, I bet their humour was first rate.
