It´s Sweden´s Day # 8

Approaching a small village – ever so cosy but the weather was a bit sinister.

Even their barns were amazing.

  1. Petty Witter says:

very inspirational, I hope you feel a story coming on.

  2. It does look very interesting. And sinister.

  3. Norman says:

There has to be a body in that barn. It is easy to look sinister in a country where it gets dark at 13.00 in the winter. 😉

  4. Barbara says:

I’m amazed by the detail on the window in the barn. Ours are so utilitarian, except of course for the hex signs.

  5. Dorte – Oh, those lowering clouds really do add to the menace! Yes, Norman’s right; there is a body in that barn. There just is. Or maybe buried in a shallow grave right outside the barn…

  6. Kelly says:

I would never have dreamed that was a barn if you hadn’t told us. Beautiful!

  7. Dorte H says:

Tracy: I did, but as it was a novel of nearly 80,000 words, it will take me some time to translate it for you 🙂

Clarissa: amazing what a spot of rain can do to a beautiful village.

Norman: I am sure there was, but I didn´t check – I was on HOLIDAY 😉

Barbara: so are Danish barns, but old Swedish farms have the most impressive details.

Margot: well, actually I found the bodies in the nearby cemetery 😉

    Kelly: yes, isn´t it?
