2011 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Syndey Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 14,000 times in 2011. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 5 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

  1. Dorte – I got one of those stats reports for my blog, too, and I found some of it really interesting! I wish you and your family a very Happy New Year! I hope 2012 is good to you all!

  2. Seana says:

Glad to hear you’ve got a good following, Dorte. As well you should.

  3. Belle Wong says:

Very very cool report, Dorte. Happy new year!

  4. Kelly says:

Isn’t this fun?! I enjoyed reading mine, too. 🙂

  5. A Happy and Blessed New Year to you and your family too! The stats report is cool. I wasn’t surprised to see 52 per cent of Asian viewers from India. Indians love the internet. Here’s hoping your viewership doubles and trebles and quadruples in 2012!

  6. That’s so cool that wordpress is doing that. I’m jealous!

  7. Margot: a free blogpost was just too good to miss, wasn´t it?

Seana: I haven´t worried much about followers since I found out I still have 30 followers on my old (dead) Blogger blog every day. So many visits are just spammers. I do care about my real readers and commentors, however 🙂

Belle: and a happy New Year to you!

Kelly: yes, it is fun to see this information at a glance.

Prashant: Indians are not the only ones. I love the internet far too much and often surfe when I should be reading or writing 😉

Clarissa: anyone who has changed from Blogger to WordPress can understand that 😉

  8. Bill Selnes says:

Dorte: Congratulations on a successful 2011 and a Happy New Year for 2012.

Looking at your stats has reminded me how the world is a smaller place since I started blogging.

  9. Bill: thank you! And blogging does indeed make you feel close to people all around the world!
