We had a lovely (even sunny) day yesterday together with good friends in the part of Denmark called Himmerland. My husband wanted some photos of contemporary church art, and I just wanted pictures of anything that took my fancy, especially windows.
First pictures from three churches. Brorstrup, Binderup and Vognsild, all with interesting, contemporary art.
The last ones are from an iron age village near Viborg. For further details, please visit my facebook album.
Dorte – What lovely ‘photos! I love the snaps of you and your husband on that cart! Those windows are gorgeous too. There is some true beauty in Himmerland.
It was a great day. And please note our very humble life style 😉
Input–I need input! Love the pix. Can you give us some descriptions/explanations of what we’re looking at? It all looks SO interesting!
Linda: some explanation, but not too much – finally it´s summer in this place 😀
There are more comments on facebook (in Danish, though).
These are wonderful – especially the windows!
Very nice Dorte. And you did a good job in capture the beauty of churches and their contemporary art. Best of all, you finally enjoyed some sunshine. 😀
Also with a thing about windows, my thanks for sharing all these wonderful examples, I especially like the window on the middle of the top row – so simple and yet somehow stunning, its gorgeous.
Kelly: thank you. I have a soft spot for windows.
Poly: the weather is indeed wonderful right now. Nice and sunny, but not too hot.
Tracy: I have one from Thursday which is even better. Perhaps I should post that one too.
