Star-struck

I know that dictionaries define this word differently, but really, how can it mean anything but “new book struck by a meteor shower of stars”? 🙂

“Anna Märklin’s Family Chronicles” is still a new-born babe, but yesterday I received three wonderful Amazon reviews. Not just plenty of stars, but also reviews which mean a lot to me because the writers appreciate the more serious side to my authorship.

Furthermore, several friends have commented, tweeted and reblogged the news about my book. I have thanked some of you, but I know there will also be posts and messages I don’t even see – and I appreciate each and every one of them.

I am touched, and I know that my readers are the greatest!

I wanted to read and review your new babe but radiation is draining the life out of me and I simply don’t have the energy. Very good news that you’re getting good reviews.

  2. Barbara, you should think of yourself first of all! Your health comes first, dear friend.
But if you want to read it – any time – just to pass a couple of hours, please tell me, and I’ll be happy to send you the book as a small ‘flower’.

  3. Dorte, it was a privilege writing about your new book and your fiction, thank you. And a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year to you and your family.

  4. Prashant: you are far too modest 🙂
And I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a great New Year too.

I think your ‘newborn babe’ was one of the best stories I’ve read for a long time.
Bravo, Dorte! Keep on the good job 🙂
As it’s too late to wish you a merry Christmas (which I hope you had), I wish you a happy New Year 🙂

  6. Ellen: I wish you and John a happy New Year as well.
And a comment like yours does quite a lot for my New Year mood 😀
